Inbee Park Retains Wegmans LPGA Championsihp

Srixon staff player Inbee Park has claimed her fifth career major after beating America’s Brittany Lincicombe in a sudden-death playoff to successfully defend her Wegmans LPGA Championship title.

The Korean, who also prevailed in a playoff in last year’s event, forced a playoff with Lincicombe after making up a two shot deficit with two holes to play, thanks to some clutch putting, as Lincicombe made bogey at the final hole of regulation play needing just a par for the win.

Park then proceeded to wrap up the victory with a par at the first playoff hole, with a sharp up and down from the greenside rough, as Lincicombe again made bogey under the weight of the pressure of trying to win her first event in three years.
